The Atlas Pre-Academy Program is designed for young athletes who love soccer, want more challenge, and thrive with increased structure.

Built for driven U7–U13 players, the Pre-Academy bridges the gap between Recreational soccer and the Atlas Academy (our competitive program).It offers:

  • 2 training sessions per week

  • Saturday games

  • A slightly longer season than recreational for more touches and repetition

  • Tournament opportunities

  • Professional coaching — no volunteers

The Pre-Academy maintains the same supportive, community-first environment as Rec, but with elevated structure and expectations.

Program Highlights

Professional Coaching — No Volunteers
All sessions are taught by US Soccer Federation–licensed, paid coaches who specialize in developing young players.

Two Weekly Practices

Players train twice weekly - training sessions include
  • Ball mastery

  • Dribbling & 1v1 skills

  • Movement with and without the ball

  • Small-group tactics

Saturday Games

Weekly games for skill development. Focus:

Tournament Opportunities
Pre-Academy teams participate in select tournaments to expose players to higher-level play in a supportive, exciting setting.
Tournament participation is not included in program registration fees. Families only pay for tournaments if their child is selected and chooses to participate.

Professional coaching you can trust

Every session is led by US Soccer Federation–licensed, paid coaches. No volunteers. Your child learns from trained professionals who know youth development.

The Pre-Academy runs continuously throughout the year with:

The extended season ensures players get more reps, more touches, and more opportunities to grow.

Uniforms

  • One-time uniform purchase required for new players (NOT included in registration fee)

  • Includes game jersey, game shorts, game socks, and training jersey

  • Uniforms remain valid through the entire uniform cycle (till Spring 2028)

  • Special events and developmental activities

CURRENT UNIFORM CYCLE

  • Year 1: Spring 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027

  • Year 2: Fall 2027, Spring 2028

Training Sessions & Game Format

Weekly Structure

  • A short in-session scrimmage during the second weekly training

Game Format

All games led by Atlas Player Development Coaches.

How Players Are Selected

The Pre-Academy is an invitation-based program. Players are identified through:

  • Coach evaluations

  • Effort and engagement during Rec training

  • Technical fundamentals

  • Focus, coachability, and attitude

  • Performance in games and camps

Families may also request an evaluation if interested.
